Weekly Weight Loss - Apr 7, 2007 - I’m still fat!

It’s been a couple of weeks since I updated, but not much has changed. Last time I posted my numbers I was 247 pounds. Today, I am 247.8 pounds. In between the two posts, I’ve weighed in as low as 244.8, but that didn’t last. I think the weight loss has officially come to an end and it’s time to try something new before I climb all the way back to 266.
My lack of progress has possibly caused me to make a slightly crazy decision, but I have decided that I need to try something new and to accomplish that I am going to run a marathon this year! My hope is that having a real deadline, a real event, and a real risk of public failure will inspire me to work harder at getting in shape quickly. This is an idea I have kicked around for quite a while now, and I read that J.D. @ Get Fit Slowly is going to run one too, so that was enough to put me over the edge and inspire me to sign up. I’ll share more about that later and how I plan to get ready.
| Current Week |

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Weight | 247.8 | 247.0 | +0.8 (+0.32%) | 254 | -6.2 (-2.44%) |
| Body Fat | 37.8% | 36.6% | +1.2 (+3.28%) | 38.2 | -0.4 (-1.05%) |

*Note about this weight loss chart. When I started this blog I weighed 266 pounds and I was only tracking my pounds lost each week. On November 28, 2007 I started using a new scale that tracks body fat and more (the numbers you see above). I report the figures from that scale in these weekly posts and I still track my total pounds lost in the Weight Loss Goals section in the sidebar on my site.

Resveratrol can help you to lead a long and healthy life so says Dr. Oz.
Resveratrol Supplements can help you control your weight naturally
by increasing energy, reducing cravings, and limiting your appetite.
According to Wikipedia, Consumer Lab, an independent dietary
supplement and over the counter products evaluation organization,
published a report on 13 November 2007 on the popular resveratrol
supplements. The organization reported that there exists a wide range
in quality, dose, and price among the 13 resveratrol products
evaluated. The actual amount of resveratrol contained in the
different brands range from 2.2mg for Revatrol, which claimed to have
400mg of “Red Wine Grape Complex”, to 500mg for Biotivia.com Transmax,
which is consistent with the amount claimed on the product’s label.
Prices per 100mg of resveratrol ranged from less than $.30 for
products made by Biotivia.com, jarrow, and country life, to a high of
$45.27 for the Revatrol brand. None of the products tested were found
to have significant levels of heavy metals or other contaminants.
