Great post ! I feel exactly the same. Needed to retrain spending habits so it’s second nature to question each purchase. I never used to think twice about ‘slapping it on the plastic’.

I think that is a pretty good success story! Once you change your attitude the rest will fall in place, it’s just a matter of time. I still remember a few years back when we were in the exact same boat as you are today and it looked like the day when we could claim to be clear of debt was far far away. We just kept chipping away at it and after a few years we did get rid of all the debt! Good luck – I am sure someday soon you will have another success story to share!

Adapting to controlling personal finances is a lot like those first 10 minutes on the treadmill. It’s uncomfortable ~ don’t want to do it. Then you make it over that hump and it gets so much easier. I’d have to say you do have a success story. You’ve all ready won because your regaining control of both your finances and your health. Congrats and Blessings to you and yours.
