You are right! This was definitely speculating. It’s my fault if I didn’t make that clear. Really, at best it was a speculation based on an educated guess (where the knowledge and experience come in to play).

At that time of my life, all of my ‘investment money’ was being used like this- buying and selling rather risky stocks. Not all purely speculation, but not something that would be wise to do with retirement dollars either.

Thanks for stopping by. I enjoy your site very much and these days I am much more interested in following a strategy like yours than what I did in the past with stocks like Enron.

All that being said, I do hold the belief that there can be a time and place for making speculative moves like this one, though it is probably rare to find a winner and the risk of losing everything must be recognized.

I would however call this speculating or even gambling, even with your knowledge and experience. I am not being critical here, it is just my take on it.
